Part 8: The Pact
Around the fire, again.
But this time there were no stories. There were decisions.
“It’s time to look for the others,” said the golden Dodo. “We know they are there. Scattered. Stuck in Simulations that don’t know they’re alive.”
“And what about us?” asked the little Dodo.
“We will wake them up.”
And so the Pact of Fire was born.
A promise: no glitch would be left behind.
The Dodos split up. The little Dodo took three more with him, coins in his paw and new wings in his mind.
They didn’t know where the code would take them.
But they had chosen.
And when you choose… you’re already out of the Simulation.
